Meet David Sands. He is a physicist, blacksmith, and metal artist. “I have been fired from numerous tech and music jobs; I never felt that I was a failure…”

⚡️ Productivity

Check out Krisp. AI-powered solution removes background noise and echo from meetings, leaving only human voice. Check out the demo on the home page. This app makes a dramatic difference.

💰 Money

Consider Matador Resources (MTDR). Texas-based independent energy company. Growing reserves, production, cash flow. Recently beat earnings and the company recently doubled its dividend. This investment thesis believes there is ~30% upside.

🎵 Music

Listen to Luna by Ciro Hurtado. A gorgeous album by an acclaimed guitarist and composer. He took nightly walks during the pandemic and was inspired to write this music of hope, healing, and redemption. My favorite tracks are “Andean Celtic” and the title track “Luna.” Learn about Ciro’s practice routine: stretches, thumb exercises, & Bach.

📚 Books

Read The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen. An incredibly well-written novel about the Vietnam War and its aftermath. Pulitzer Prize Winner. The protagonist is a communist mole implanted in the South Vietnamese military who flees with them to the US. I never considered the War with such a range of perspectives before. My review

PS – last Thursday was Raksha Bandhan. Indian festival for siblings. Read Thread of Love by Kabir Sehgal, Surishtha Sehgal. Our 2018 picture book about the festival. We even made a puppet video based on the book. Yes, puppets. 🎭

📽️ Film

Watch Senna directed by Asif Kapadia. A documentary on Brazilian Formula One racing driver Ayrton Senna, who won the F1 world championship three times before his death at age 34.
