It’s commencement season.

Have you seen Roger Federer’s 2024 commencement address?

It went viral for the obvious reasons.

It was funny, graceful.

But the real lesson wasn’t “work hard” or “follow your dreams.”

It was more contrarian than that:

Federer won almost 80% of his matches, but only 54% of his points.

Greatness isn’t winning every point.

It’s not letting the last one ruin the next one.
