I’m back from France, where I was lucky enough to visit The Élysée Palace and meet President Emmanuel Macron. This is what I told him. He wasn’t sure whether to take it as an honor or a threat 🙂

⚡ Productivity
3 science-backed ways to pull yourself out of a bad mood (in 5 minutes or less). Go for a walk, meditate, and…
💰 Finance
Check out Brinker International (Ticker: Eat). This hospitality company owns Maggiano’s and Chili’s. The stock has taken a beating over the last year, but it may be time to reconsider.
💼 Portfolio Career
If you want to meet new people, grow, and learn — join a civil society group. It can be a Rotary club or the local YMCA. When you’re in communion with others, you’ll inevitably learn from others and stretch your imagination. I joined a French-American Foundation program, and this is what I learned in France.
📚 Books
Read The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest. It examines why we self-sabotage ourselves and how to stop this behavior. We can build better emotional intelligence, so that we can notice when we are engaging in self-defeating activities, and learn to move beyond.
🎵 Music
Listen to China Caribe by DongFeng Liu. This is Cuban music with a Chinese aesthetic. Many Chinese immigrated to Cuba in the 1800s and left their stamp on the music. This brilliant and buoyant album will introduce you to a fresh sound. My favorite track is “Fisherman’s Song at Dusk.”
🙏🏽 Meditate
Listen to The Law of Giving and Receiving by Deepak Chopra, Paul Avgerinos, Kabir Sehgal. Whatever you want in the world, start by giving it. If you want love, give love. If you want abundance, make others feel abundant. If you want success, make others successful. If you want to create wealth, think of someone and wish them unlimited wealth.
