Consider Diamondback Energy (Ticker: FANG), which is a Texas-based energy company. You may be on the fence about buying an oil stock, but at least this is an American one. The company also recently increased its dividend 20%. Analysts are increasing their price targets.

📚 Books

Read Zen in the Art of Archery by Eugen Herrigel. A classic work on Eastern philosophy, a charming and deeply illuminating story of one man’s experience with Zen. A German professor of Philosophy in Tokyo, Herrigel took up the study of archery as a step toward an understanding of Zen Buddhism. This is the account of the six years he spent as a student of one of Japan’s great kyudo (archery) masters, and of how he gradually overcame his initial inhibitions and began to feel his way toward new truths and ways of seeing.

🎵 Music

Listen to A Medley of Black Television Theme Songs by Armand Hutton. He is an acclaimed arranger who assembled this incredible a cappella medley of iconic songs from shows like “Sister Sister.” The song is fresh and familiar, it got me thinking about these tunes in new ways. Bravo.
