I used to be self-conscious about being Indian American.

I was one of the few non-whites in the Christian school in Georgia that I attended.

I wasn’t a good ole boy (& didn’t shoot birds on the weekends).

Classmates ribbed me about my odd name.

When Atlanta won its bid to host the 1996 Olympics, I started to understand how my perceived vulnerability was a strength.

Here’s how my Indian roots helped Atlanta win & host the Centennial Olympics.
