π Books
Read ββThe Artist Way by Julia Cameron. I finally read this seminal book that can help unblock creativity. She suggests 2 tools: (1) morning pages (a diary in which you write whatever comes to mind); (2) artist dates – treat yourself (museums, shows, etc). Jealousy is masked fear. Your real friends will be happy with your unblocking progress. Commit to solitude. Try reading deprivation (to make place for your own thoughts). Join clusters of artists. Give/receive gifts: Martin Scorsese developed Schindler’s List but gave it to Steven Spielberg to direct.

π΅ Music
Listen to Night Divine by Quinn Hedges. Not too early to listen to holiday music (Dec 1 is when this genre gets the biggest streaming bump). Acoustic/folk album with soulful renditions of “Joy to the World” & “O Holy Night.” Listen to Holidays by Ted Nash & Kristen Lee Sergeant. Lush, jazzy, bluesy takes of “Sleigh Ride” & “A Child Is Born.”
