7PS: Headphones on. Heart open. 🎧

by | Sep 7, 2025

Read time: 1 minute, 465 words.

My grandfather was a hospitality official in India.

He welcomed & took care of dignitaries.

One of these dignitaries was His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Years later, the Dalai Lama became an Emory professor in Atlanta.

My parents helped welcome him on these visits.

As a little kid, I got to meet him a few times.

I had no idea how special these moments were…

In high school, I skipped an event with him because…I was a dummy.

Since then, I’ve read his books, listened to his teachings, and come to appreciate his universal message.

Peace. Compassion. Wisdom.

Now decades later, life comes full circle.

I was blessed with the opportunity to collaborate with him.

I’m delighted to share what has come of it (see below).

💼 Portfolio Career

Meet Mark Reeder. He left Manchester for Berlin in 1978, where he ran Factory Records in Germany. He built ties with East Berlin musicians before reunification, later producing trance with Paul van Dyk and directing B-Movie: Lust & Sound in West-Berlin.

⚡️ Productivity

Voiceline. Leave asynchronous voice notes instead of typing, designed for quick communication without meetings.

🎵 Music

Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness The Dalai Lama by Dalai Lama with music by Amjad Ali Khan, Kabir Sehgal, Amaan & Ayaan Bangash featuring guests Andra Day, Ted Nash, Debi Nova, Maggie Rogers, Tony Succar, Rufus Wainwright. Sage reflections across 10 tracks on themes such as kindness, oneness, water, and health. Hopeful messages to lift your spirit. We kept the meditations unprocessed where possible (with some creative effects), using light noise reduction, gentle filters, and subtle reverbs. The mix favors headroom and silence so dynamics carry the message. Listen with headphones to experience the fullness.

💰 Wealth

The Optionality Principle – Money matters, but choice matters more. True wealth isn’t a big salary, it’s control over your time and energy. Optionality means saying no to toxic projects, yes to people you respect, and living where you want. Often a modest income with autonomy beats a higher paycheck with chains. Ask yourself: does this expand or shrink my options?

📚 Books

Emotional: How Feelings Shape Our Thinking by Leonard Mlodinow. Explores how emotions drive decisions, even in courts, markets, and science. Accessible, sharp, evidence-based.
